(Beware The Bees)

Atensio abellas is an individual viewing device as in a peephole cinema. Built with the remains of an abandoned beehive, it allows us to witness the life of its former occupants.

As in a mise en abyme, the insects that are getting closer and closer to a real danger of extinction are drawn with a typewriter and observed using the pepper ghost effect, which are almost extinct devices too. A ghost within a ghost within a ghost.
This installation was conceived and shown for the first time at the Batecs Festival, a festival of art and nature, in 2022.
